Combustion : Laminar flames

Besides turbulent flames, laminar combustion is still important in many industrial application and academic research.
In OpenFOAM, species-selective properties of transport is not implemented yet, which are essential in simulation of real flame phenomena.
Like a clone of CHEMKIN, major effort is done to implement multi-component diffusion model, viscosity and conductivity etc.

Developed features
  • Mixture-averaged Fick’s diffusion model
  • Full multi-component diffusion model by Dixon-Lewis
  • Full multi-component diffusion model by Maxwell-Stefan
  • Mixture-averaged viscosity and thermal conductivity
